Week of June 20, 2010- Drink
When I saw the word "Drink", the first thing that came to mind was a fancy, bright colored drink in a clear glass that just popped! But then I wanted to bring summer into my photo as well so I thought some more and then the light bulb in my pretty little head turned on! A drink in the summer to me is a little kid drinking out of the water hose :D. So the other morning my boyfriends nieces were at the house and I asked one if they would want to be a model for the day for me. Of course she said yes in a heart beat, what little girl wouldn't? lol. It wasn't the best time of day to take the pic but I did it anyway. The red to the side of her mouth is not lip stick. The water was freezing cold so wherever it touched it turned her face red. My favorite part about this photo are the drops coming from the water flow! They turned out just about perfect to me! :D

Week of June 13, 2010- Chair
I was at my best friends house and looked out at her back deck. I loved the table and chair setup they had! The chairs were worn down and weathered and that's when I knew this was my chair shot! I had my Nikon D40 set on Auto/ISO 280/1/125s/F5.6/30mm, then went into Gimp and made it black and white.
SLACKER!!
Wow! I figured since I had so much time on my hands I could start a blog, but obviously not since it's been a few months since my last post. Ha! Well now I will be updating my blog every week for one pretty cool reason. My sister and myself heard about a challenge and decided to try it ourselves. For a whole year we will have a criteria per week for a photo we have to capture. For instance, week one's photo is "Chair". So however we perceive the word "Chair", we go for it and find our shot! Being an aspiring photographer myself I think that this challenge will for one make me think outside the box more often than I do. And it will also help me with my faults and make me a better photographer. I am SOOOO EXCITED to do this challenge! FEEL FREE TO CRITIQUE MY WORK!!! I would love to know what I could do to make my pictures pop a little bit more to the viewers. So if you stumble upon my blog, comment on my pictures, I would really appreciate it! :D
